We are seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to support both inbound and outbound sales efforts across all verticals. This role is centered on hunting and pipeline generation—identifying, engaging, and qualifying new prospects while also responding to and nurturing inbound interest. The ideal candidate is persistent, comfortable making cold calls, and skilled at initiating strategic conversations that lead to booked meetings for our field sales team.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Prospect and cold call across targeted accounts and industries to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Manage and qualify inbound leads while driving proactive outbound outreach to build pipeline.
  • Set discovery meetings for account executives, contributing directly to pipeline growth and revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound campaigns to identify potential partners and customers not currently in our CRM.
  • Understand and articulate the value of Zonar’s solutions, aligning offerings with each prospect’s operational challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity, qualification notes, and outcomes in CRM.
  • Collaborate closely with field sales to define target accounts, prioritize outreach, and follow up on inbound activity.
  • Use internal and external tools (CRM, LinkedIn, etc.) to build targeted contact lists and gather key decision-maker insights.
  • Assist in identifying trends, objections, and messaging effectiveness to continuously improve inbound and outbound strategies.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Associate’s degree or at least one year of experience in business development or inside sales.
  • Experience supporting both outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up in a B2B environment.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to confidently engage mid-level and senior decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and basic research tools.
  • Comfortable working independently to meet activity and conversion goals.
  • Energetic, persistent, and motivated by measurable results.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities, taking initiative, and driving outreach without heavy direction.
  • Committed to ongoing self-development—open to feedback, refining approach, and continuously improving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and refine outreach based on market feedback.


Base Salary: $3.5M - 3.8M COP + commission
